April Joy Stillings, 72, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday evening, April 16, 2022, at her home.

Born April 5, 1950, in Winfield, she was the daughter of Merle Dean and Leola Bernice (Garretson) Neubecker.  April was raised and received her education in both Grenola and Burden.  She graduated from Central of Burden High School in 1968.

Following high school, April moved to Winfield where she worked as a CNA for the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center and Focus Developmental Center.  She also worked as a waitress at Little Johnnie's in Winfield.

As a young adult, April enjoyed playing volleyball.  Additionally, she enjoyed her flowers and tomato and pepper plants.  Most of all, April loved her dogs, friends, and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Stillings of Winfield; and siblings, Eddie Neubecker of Winfield; and Donnie Joe Neubecker of Burden.

In addition to her parents, April was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Louise Neubecker; and her best friend, Betty Arndt.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

A memorial has been established in April's name to help defray funeral expenses.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
