Anna Jean (Maxwell) Ketteman, 88, of Winfield, Kansas, was surrounded by her loved ones at Cumbernauld Village, as she went to live with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, August 31, 2025.
Born April 27, 1937, in Lone Wolf, OK, she was the daughter of William Loren Maxwell and Grace Ann Rogers. She was raised in Wichita, KS. Anna Jean was a proud graduate of Wichita High School East Class of 1955. Anna Jean enjoyed several occupations throughout her lifetime: a bookkeeper, a seamstress, and the most unique position, a chef on a tugboat up and down the mighty Mississippi River. She was a former resident of Wichita, Springfield, MO, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Kansas City, MO, Little Rock, AR, Douglass, and Winfield, KS.
She is survived by her children; Michael Rene Ketteman Cuenca, of Oakland, CA; Alicia Ann Ketteman Ramey (Robert Landon Ramey), of Rose Hill; her sister Billie Jo Gooden of Crete, IL; and her grandchildren, Austin Rogers Cuenca, Landon William Ramey (Anna), Maxwell Lee Ramey; and her first great grandchild, Everett Carl Ramey (6-9-25 Landon and Anna)
Anna Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her former husbands, Guillermo Aguilar Cuenca, Rollin Lee Ketteman, her brother James Lewis Maxwell, and her daughter, Angela Denise Ketteman Cuenca.
Anna Jean was raised in Calvery United Methodist Church of Wichita and was member of the First Baptist Church of Douglass, Kansas, where she coordinated the Jolly Senior events for several years.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Douglass under the direction of Miles Funeral Service. Private burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Anna Jean Ketteman's name for First Baptist Church of Douglass. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
