ANN E. HOHMAN, 67, of Dexter, Kansas, passed away Monday evening, January 25, 2010 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.
Born on December 14, 1942 in Fremont, Ohio, she was the daughter of Marion and Catharine (Wilhelm) Smith. She graduated from Jackson Burgoon High School in Ohio in 1960. She later earned her RN degree from Mercy School of Nursing in Toledo, Ohio in 1963.
She was united in marriage in 1964 to Roy Hohman in Fremont, Ohio. They made their home in New Riegel, Ohio for 20 years. Ann was employed part time at a hospital and nursing home. The couple moved to Vinita, Oklahoma in 1984 and she worked for the state hospital there for 16 years before retiring. In 2001, the couple moved to Dexter, Kansas, where they have resided.
Ann was a member of the Dexter Outreach Church. She was a fulltime homemaker and loved to give and work for her church and its missions programs.

Her daughter: Patricia Le and husband Dan of Highland, TX;
Her brother: Louis Smith and wife Joann of Fremont, OH;
Her sister: Mary Helen Shiebley and husband Al of Defiance, OH; and
Her grandchildren: Liz, Nate, Kyle, Megann and Abby.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Dexter Outreach Church. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 that evening.
A memorial has been established in Ann's name for the Dexter Outreach Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
