Andrew "Andy" Ray Goodnight, 32, of Arkansas City, passed away Thursday June 14, 2018 at South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center in Arkansas City.

He was born February 14, 1986 in South Hampton, New York.  Andy was the son of John and Cindy Goodnight.

He enjoyed going to Wal-Mart and talking to people, going to concerts, playing basketball and bowling.  He also enjoyed watching movies and attending the special Olympics. Andy didn't know a stranger.

Andy is survived by his parents, John and Cindy Goodnight of Oxford; his brother Arthur Goodnight of Hutchinson; his paternal grandmother, Venita Goodnight of Oxford; his maternal grandparents Mike and Linda Tennison of White City, OR; his aunts, Joni Herrington of Wellington and Patti DeHaven of Oxford; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Claude Goodnight, an aunt Lori Lauffer and a brother, Truman Goodnight.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Andy's name for the Kansas Special Olympics, South Central Region.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
