Amanda Marie McPherson, 28, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, February 3, 2019 at William Newton Hospital.

Born July 19, 1990 in Kaufman, Texas, she was the daughter of Robert Murphy and April Ann (Cork) McPherson. The family moved to Winfield, Kansas in 1993 where Amanda was raised and received her education. She graduated from Winfield High School in 2009 and later attended Cowley County Community College. Amanda worked at Wendy's in Winfield for several years before going to work at Braums. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church where as a young lady, she was active in youth activities and enjoyed singing on the Worship Team. She had a very bubbly personality, making friends with everyone. She loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her children.

Her family includes her children, Kale McPherson, Braylon and Breckan Byers; her mother April Cahill of Winfield; her brothers, Bobby McPherson, II and wife, Tara of Deltona, FL; Devon Cahill of Winfield; her paternal grandparents Dorothy and Bobby McPherson of Texas; her maternal grandmother Marsha Gustafson of Galva; her foster parents Jonathan and Tammy Cullum of Winfield; and her foster siblings, Brianna Hosey and husband, C.J. of Wichita; Chad Cullum of Winfield; Sean Randall and wife, Kriston of Winfield; Brooke Askins and husband, Shane of Dallas, TX; Jacob Cullum and wife, Megan of Kansas City.

Amanda was preceded in death by her father, Robert McPherson, and her maternal grandfather Sydney Cork.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Crossroads Community Church in Winfield. Interment will follow at Parker Cemetery east of Arkansas City. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday evening from 5 to 8 P.M. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established in Amanda's name to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
