Alice I. (Gray) Bohannan, 74, formerly of Winfield, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 05, 2010 at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita.
Born March 11, 1936 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of B. Oscar and Helen E. (Chapman) McBride. She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1954.
Alice was married to Ronald Gray in December of 1953 in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield. To this union three children were born. The couple later divorced. Alice went to work at the Winfield State Hospital as a registered medical technician in 1962 where she remained for more than 26 years.
In 1989 married Manning Bernard in Winfield. The couple made their first home in Rogers, Arkansas. They enjoyed traveling and lived in several different states. In 1993 the couple move to Sedan. Mr. Bernard preceded her in death in 1996.
Alice was united in marriage to Arlis R. Bohannan on December 16, 1997 in Sedan. The couple made their home in Winfield. Mr. Bohannan preceded her in death on July 19, 2004.
Alice was a member of First Baptist Church in Sedan and Millington Street Baptist Church in Winfield. She enjoyed, woodworking, sewing, crocheting, and reading.

Her sons: Ron Gray II and wife, Terri of Haysville; Michael Gray and wife, Rebecca of Wichita;
Her daughter: Anita Driscoll of Wichita;
Her brother: James A. McBride and wife, Naomi of Peoria, AZ;
Her sister: Jessie Stover and husband, Phil of Winfield;
Her 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Alice was preceded in death by her brother, Norman McBride.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, December 09, 2010 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Wilmot Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 08, 2010. The family will greet visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 that evening.
Memorials have been established in Alice's name for the Cowley County Humane Society, and for the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
