Alice G. Batdorf's Obituary
Alice G. Batdorf, 78, of Dexter, Kansas, passed away Saturday evening, January 2, 2016, at Medicalodges in Arkansas City.
Born April 22, 1937 in Hoosier, Kansas, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Vera (Tousley) Batdorf. She was raised and received her education in Dexter. In her younger days she enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and collecting anything to do with skunks. She also loved playing dominos until her eyesight no longer allowed it. She was a member of the Dexter Christian Church.
Her family includes:
Her sisters: Velma Stilley of Commerce, OK; Margaret Karcher of Webb City, MO; Rosalie Hain of Arkansas City; Susie Kincaid of Arkansas City; Kay Batdorf of Arkansas City; and
Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lee Batdorf, Detta Wallace, Audine Huntington, Melba Barber, and Betty Landes.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Dexter Christian Church in Dexter, Kansas. Interment will follow at Dexter Cemetery. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials have been established in Alice's name for Dexter Christian Church and for Medicalodges in Arkansas City. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
