Albert L. Crane, 62, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday morning, April 27, 2021 at his home.

Born February 27, 1959 in Winfield, he was the son of Roy A. and Evelyn (Reuther) Crane.  He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1977.  While attending high school, Albert also attended Cowley County Community College where he graduated with a degree in welding in 1977.  At the age of 14, he bought his first gravel truck and started hauling gravel for the township.  In addition to his gravel business, Albert spent his life farming with his father.  He attended the Church of Christ in Arkansas City.

His family includes his parents, Roy and Evelyn Crane of Winfield; his children, Steven Crane and fiancé, Jennifer Hess of Arkansas City; Diana Dillon and Justin Lester of Winfield; Hannah Crane of Winfield; Connie Crane of Winfield; Albert Crane, Jr. of Winfield; Casey Crane of Winfield; his grandchildren, Braden, Brynlee, Ella, Bradley, Kaisen, Preston; his siblings, Walter Crane of Arkansas City; Lois Stone and husband, David of Winfield; Elizabeth Earls of Arkansas City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Steven Crane and Letty Crane.

Memorial services will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.  A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Albert's name for the American Cancer Society.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
