Ada I. Sontag, 95, formerly of Atlanta, Kansas, passed away Friday morning, July 16, 2010 at the Kansas Masonic Home in Wichita.
Born May 30, 1915 in Tisdale, Kansas, she was the daughter of Walter F. and Mabel E. (Bevins) Miller. She was raised in the Tisdale community and received her education in Tisdale and Winfield High School.
Ada was united in marriage to Floyd H. "Sing" Sontag on April, 03 1949 in Winfield. The couple made their home and worked their farm north of Atlanta for over 45 years. Mr. Sontag preceded her in death on June 23, 1994. Ada remained on the family farm until 2007.
She was a longtime member of Atlanta United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, watching hummingbirds, spending time outdoors and enjoyed taking long walks the country roads near the family farm. She was known for her generous giving to children's charities.

Her sons: Ronald F. Sontag and wife, Karen I. of Wichita; Monte Sontag of Wichita; and
Her 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Ada was preceded in death by her sister Myrtle Andes and brother Walter "Frank" Miller.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Tisdale United Methodist Church in Tisdale. Interment will follow at Latham Cemetery in Latham, Kansas. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield from 4:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening. The family will greet visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 that evening.
A Memorial has been established in Ada's name for St. Jude's Children Hospital and Tisdale United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
