ADA "B" Hopper, 82, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 4, 2010 at Presbyterian Manor in Arkansas City.

Born October 8, 1927 in Texhoma, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Nick and Lena (Fitzpatrick) Walthall. She was raised and received her education in the Texas panhandle.

She was united in marriage to F. Leland Hopper on April 29, 1948 in Dalhart, Texas. Leland preceded her in death on March 17, 2004.

B made her career taking care of her family. Her family was her life.

Her family includes:
Her sons: Jerry Hopper and wife, Donna of Winfield; Terry Hopper of Winfield; Johnny Hopper and wife, Cathy of Derby; and Glenn Hopper of Augusta;
Her brother: A.W. Walthall of Borger, Texas;
Her sister: Iva Dell Johnson of Spearman, Texas; and
Her 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, B was preceded in death by her step-son, Tommy Hopper, her brother, Clarence Walthall and her sisters, Gracie Lyons, maggie Hager, Betty Murphy and Ellen Turner.

Family Graveside services will be held on Monday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at the Grenola Cemetery. Friends may sign a register book at Miles Funeral Service on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00.

A Memorial has been established in Mrs. Hopper's name for the William Newton Memorial Healthcare Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
